Virginia Child Labor Laws state that if you’re under 16, you must have a work permit. You can only work between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. from June 1 through Labor Day, and you can’t put in more than eight hours a day. So unfortunately looking for employment with a business it will be out of the question now.

I would suggest letting your neighbors know that you are available to baby sit, walk their dogs, or mow their grass etc.

Newspaper route, walk some dogs, trim edges on a yard, mow lawns, wash cars...

I don't think you're going to find a traditional job at your age, so you're going to have to get creative.

When I was your age, I did all of the above. I wanted to save up for a BMX bike.. and I did it.

Just make sure your grades don't drop because of it. Your first priority should be school and being a good kid. Plus, Labor laws in most states restrict or prohibit someone your age from working. In most states you have to be 15 and 8 mos. Ask your librarian at school if she can help you find out the answer to the minimum working age in Virginia.

Let's see. Hmmmmpf. Yes, could be.

A wonderful state of mind. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Get,,,,,, at the Library,,,,,,, the book "RICH MAN, POOR MAN", by Roert H whatever his name is.

Learn to punctuate, especially on computers. This is your first IMPRESSION upon US who see your question.

To get a job, WE SEE HOW YOU PUNCTUATE YOURSELF WITH THE CLOTHES AND JEWELRY YOU HAVE ON YOUR BODY.

SITTING for kids??? Parents want to know you take care of yourself, else you know they are stupid.

Learn, know first aid. GREAT for keeping KIDS out of HOSPITALS.

Like,,,,,, knowing a piece of bacon (small) wrapped on a splinter of wood, maybe metals slivers, will draw the splinter out of your skin. Band Aids and tape does not stick when you touch the bacon with the sticky stuff. Heard that on the radio yesterday.

You might find a store that can use you for a couple hours to sweep the floors or stock the bottom shelves.

Watch people cut grass around the neighborhood, if you have never done so. WATCHING IS A GOOD WAY TO LEARN ANYTHING. Some people actually train for jobs that way.

To find the spelling of words you forgot, go to www.m-w.com and punch something in and it will find a word for you,,,,,, maybe.

I hope I have proven a good example. Wear a suit, you might get elected someday.

Talk to your neighbors and see if there are any chores you can do that they will pay you to do it.
From your profile you look like you are a girl so maybe you could baby sit, wash the windows, vacuum floors and any thing they may want you to do. Adults doing that kind of work here in Massachusetts are paid $10 an hour. So, maybe you could get $5 an hour.
Good luck.

Hopefully somewhere where the applicant doesn't need to know the difference between a state, and a city and state.

your grades are probabbly not going to have an effect on what type of job you get. your only 14 years old. Your only going to get a job like:
-dunkin dounts
-mcdonalds
-other fast food places
-some sort of retail job
-grocery store

Your going to have to apply to a lot of places and hope someone calls. Beggers cant be choosers so go out there and apply. You can also apple to places like bestbuy, shaws, circuitcity, and target online.
