Between 2-5 minutes...it depends on how important the person is to you and what you want it to say. It could take a little longer but 45 minutes? Do you think the person getting is going to spend 45 minutes of their time contemplating the inner meaning of your card?

Depends how much I care about the person. Some friends require and deserve The Perfect Card That Says The Perfect Thing. Where with others, a more generic one is just fine.
So it depends on the relationship but I could spend hours in cards shops and buy them for people when their birthday is months away if I happen to find The Perfect Card for them.

You don't need to spend ages picking a birthday card, its not as if the person who it is for is going to know you spent 45 minutes picking out a specific one for them - they'll probably just thing you grabbed any old one - so just take a couple of minutes.
I usually take about 2-5 minutes to choose a card, depends who it is for.

It depends on the person, but usually about 15 minutes. Walking up and down the card aisle. I hate picking out cards! If I'm getting a card for my husband, about and hr! He actually saves them.

Like an hour, I have to read and re-read about 50 at the least, its the thought that counts right? I put alot of thoughts into birthday cards, how do I want to come off? Funny, thoughtful. I love birthday cards, I think they are awesome.

I take lots of time picking out cards. I'm always getting bugged by the employees asking if I need help or security guards telling me to pick one or they'll fine me for loitering.
I take cards very seriously for some reason and always spend the time to look for the one that's just perfect. No matter how long it takes.
