Don't consider it a diet, first and foremost. And personally, I think weight watchers, though helpful to start, may not be the best way to go about things. I've been a member of http://www.sparkpeople.com since April of last year, and I lost the majority of the 100+lbs that I've lost so far with their help. Just calorie counting, exercise, lots of water, and not denying myself the stuff I like-just eating it in more reasonable portions. It saves money, cuz it is FREE. There is a great support system through the message boards. There are many useful articles. You don't have to weigh yourself infront of anyone.
Just my two cent. GREAT job on the 4lb loss, so far, and I wish you all the best in your health quest.

Keep a food diary and drink plenty of water.
I'm not overweight but I do try to eat right and drink my water. I got off track and I started my eating program on Sunday. I went to www.mealmatters.org and printed off a daily food log and I try to eat the recommended servings daily. It makes me very conscious of my eating habits.
When I drink water to get the recommended 8 servings, I try to drink 2 bottles in the a.m., 2 for lunch, 2 for dinner and throw in the other 2 somewhere along the day. It's hard but once you get a groove going you should be okay. Good luck to you! Keep up the good work!!

diets don't work. Lifestyle changes work.
You need to change your eating habits and exersize at least 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.
You don't need weight watchers. as soon as you go off, the weight will come right back

Exercise in addition to dieting. Just dieting is taking the lazy route and will get you nowhere. You'll end up losing muscle and gaining fat (even though you will lose weight).
Try to not use the scale so much as you measure your waistline. You want to lose inches, not pounds.
