Instead we have shown remarkable restraint.
Shouldn't "the world" be a little more respectful and grateful for our tolerance of their backstabbing?

Restraint........hmmmm.....
I have a nasty feeling that's not sarcasm you're having a bad attempt at.
It's comments like these that give the US a bad name around the globe and the actions that usually follow have even alienated your closest ally (my own country, Britain) to back away rolling it's eyes.
EDIT - Oh dear. Eventually you WILL care when you are totally isolated, needing trade links, economically in the debt of the EU, universally weakened and under attack on all sides from enemies (roughly what happened to the Romans if I recollect). It's a good job most of us realise that not all Americans are as ridiculous as your good self.

You are right! My answer to the terrorist attacks had I been President, would have been to nuke the area where Bin Laden was hiding and any other country that was on his side. The war would have been over in 45 minutes, with little to no U.S. soldiers having to set foot in those putrid countries.

I don't really know what you are getting at. We were justified for going after who we went after. If we went after further targets then we would be nothing more then barbarians, which we are not. We also have limited resources as far as men and equipment go, I don't believe we could sustain a continuous world wide war for very long.

The world is just pointing out what we did wrong (invade Iraq).
But the world, and our government are all lucky that we didn't Go Roman and try and take over the world.. for it would have sparked WW III and probably the overthrow of the US government by it's people.

And where is Rome now?
A major super power? NOT!
A major economic power house? NOT!
I guess they didn't end up so powerful in the end now did they?
Are you proposing that we should follow Ancient Rome's lead into obscurity?
