After all the attacks the Republicans have made against military men and Veterans, who disagrees with them in the past the outrage over the moveon.org ad is a bit hypocritical. In the past Republicans have called General Anthony Zinni,
General Charles Swannack, Major General John Batiste, Marine Corps Lieutenant General Gregory Newbold, and Army Major General Paul Eaton traitors.
Republicans cheapen the medals that we earned in Vietnam, by suggesting that we can nominate ourselves and then be awarded a medal. There is a firmly established protocol that goes back over 225 years for awarding military medals.

Congress voted to condemn moveon.org for slandering an honorable general. Hillary didn't vote to condemn them because she owns the organization, but most of the other Democrats voted for condemnation.
This has nothing to do with the swift boat veterans who told the truth and nothing they ever said was disputed.

the swift boat issue was kerry lying about being somewhere and the swift boat guys said that he was not on a particular patrol, which kerry used in speeches. it was not about kerry's service it was about where he was on a patroll. and afterward durin hearings kerry saying some very anti-american things. but any man who volunteers for the armed forces should be considered brave at the very least.
