shouldn't we then assume they are guilty when they are arrested?

I mean Michael Vick indicated it is part of his culture to have dog fights which he knows is a crime. Issah Thomas indicated it is part of the black culture for a black man to call a black woman a "female dog", but he would take offense to the same thing being said by a white male.

I tend to agree with people like Charles Barkley, Clarence Thomas, and Bill Cosby, at times.

What do you think about such black culture standards?

Akasha, I never said anything like that. That is a racist remark in and of itself. What I am saying is that many, not all, black use the excuse of their culture to justify the commission of crimes. That leads to many other non-blacks falling for the assumption of guilt because a black person was involved.

Personally, I think like Barkley does. Blaming your culture is a copout. Accept responsibility for your actions and be a man.

These men are full of it. They are making excuses for their ill advised behavior.

I think all race cultures are they same. It is OK for you to say something nasty about your own but it always becomes personal when it comes from some other race. This stupid way of thinking is HUMAN nature. As for committing crime I believe that the media tends to paint the pictures of who is worse at it as they chose who to showcase more of the race they don't like. Such as the southern states still having a problem with any skin tone darker than white. Racism exists in any culture and I am sure in foreign countries the self proclaimed superior "white man" doesn't have it as good as he has it in the more civilized countries.

I'm not quite sure about black culture standards because I'm not black. I can only understand a human being who is different from me up to a point, and then I have to take him or her at there word. As far as the culture goes, it may be an indictment of American culture in general.
