I'm sure Johnson would have gotten fined too. The NFL is getting a bit carried away with the banning of celebrations. I thought TO's little dance was funny. I still think he's a childish punk, but his dance was funny.

I am a huge Patriot fan. And I didn't see anything wrong with what TO did. That's the way he is. Who cares really? In fact the Patriots do better when up against this kind of thing, so I say "Bring it on." And let TO alone. It's what he does.

Of course. I'm predicting that this season that Chad will do a celebration so ridiculous that he will get a record $100k fine for some form of a excessive celebration.

Well, I hope so. To do otherwise would be totally unfair, like they are singling out Owens. I think the fine was pretty harsh - I read it was $7,500 - just for doing a little "dance" with the ball. He now says he's not sure what he can and can't do anymore.

yes, even if it was chad pennington he'd be fined...not that i agree with it, but i can understand why the nfl takes it seriously when a joke is made of the situation

The NFL would fine both before they do their celebrations if they could. They just don't want them getting attention more than other players.

As a patriots fan, I don't see why a fine was issued. He made fun of a team that dolphins hate anyways, so it is not like he was rubbing something in on the dolphins, they probably thought it was funny themselves.
