As people have pronounced Akira Toriyama isn't responsible for the anime, merely the manga. by employing the time Frieza had rolled around Toriyama were engaged on the series for 7 years. Frieza could have been a greater robust than perfect ending, and no person needs to paintings on the comparable ingredient continuously. he can not make a clean series. the guy is incredibly much 60. He would not decide to be engaged on yet another long ongoing.

Also I will comment that Akira Toriyama is not only famous because of DBZ but also because he designed all the characters and monsters for Dragon Quest series.

There are several but these are the most popular:
Dr. Slump (written before Dragonball)
Plot:
Dr. Slump is set in Penguin Village (ペンギン村 Pengin Mura), a place where humans co-exist with all sorts of anthropomorphic animals and other objects. In this village lives Senbei Norimaki (則巻千兵衛 Norimaki Senbei), an inventor (his name is a pun on a kind of rice cracker). His nickname is "Dr. Slump" (a joke that can be seen as similar to nicknaming an author "Writer's Block.") In the first issue, he builds a little robot girl he names Arale Norimaki (則巻アラレ Norimaki Arare, a pun on another kind of rice cracker), in scenes obviously parodying the Italian children's classic Pinocchio (note: "Arale" is Toriyama's official romanized spelling of her name). Because Senbei is a lousy inventor, she soon turns out to be in severe need of eyeglasses. She is also very naïve, and in later issues she has adventures such as bringing a huge bear home, having mistaken it for a pet. To Senbei's credit, she does have super-strength. In general, the manga focuses on Arale's misunderstandings of humanity and Senbei's inventions, rivalries, and romantic misadventures.
Neko Majin (after Dragonball Z) parody
The series revolves around the adventures of various characters from the "Neko Majin" race, a group of cats that can use a little bit of magic, but seem to enjoy practical jokes and martial arts even more. It eventually spins off into Neko Majin Z, centralizing around "Z", a cat-like version of Son Goku complete with nyoi-bo and typically Dragon Ball Z-style attacks, such as the "Neko-Hameha", an attack that the Neko Majin from the first chapter also used. Other familiar motifs show up during the course of the series, including Freeza's son Kuriza, a fat Super Saiyan named Onio (following the Saiyans' vegetable pun trend, this one is an obvious pun in onion), and even cameos by actual Dragon Ball characters Vegeta, Majin Buu, and Son Goku. Despite the references to Dragon Ball, the series itself is not a continuation of the manga series and the various references are not intended to be canonical. Although the connection is tenuous, several references to Neko Majin Z were added as Easter eggs to the Japanese version of the video game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 (notably in the form of Kuriza as an alternate outfit for Freeza, complete with a chestnut-shaped Death Ball attack), and Z makes an appearance as a secret support character in the Japanese version of Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic Warriors 2.
Sand Land
In a future world known as Sand Land, the one river that supplied the entire world had suddenly stopped, and the only source of water is from the greedy king's overpriced water bottles. Demons and humans live together in a world of drought, until Sheriff Rao confronts Beelzebub in need of a demon on a quest to find the Phantom Lake, a river on which birds called Water Finches supply themselves. Beelzebub is reluctant to go along, but the Sheriff bribes him with a Playstation 6, and Beelzebub ends up going, along with his demon friend Thief, and the adventure begins.
The series spanned one volume with fourteen chapters in a single tankōbon and was released by Jump Comics
None of these were very successful.
However these were influenced by Dragonball:
Naruto
Masashi Kishimoto states in his comic Naruto that he was influenced by Toriyama. Kishimoto included a picture of Arale he drew in elementary school. This can also be seen in the fact that the title character wears an orange and blue gi (martial arts robe) similar to Son Goku 's. Also, in one volume of the manga, a mask resembling the face of Chaozu can be seen in the background.
One Piece
Eiichiro Oda, the author of the comic One Piece, stated in an interview that he was a big fan of Dragon Ball. He stated that it was Toriyama that influenced him and that he holds Dragon Ball in high esteem. Toriyama in turn is a self-professed fan of One Piece, which he was introduced to by his children. Many similarities to Dragon Ball can be seen in One Piece, especially the similarity in personalities between Son Goku and Luffy. There have even been a few one-shot crossovers between the two series.
P.S. Akira Toriyama had nothing to do with any DBZ movies nor DBGT. Which was created by the anime studio to get more money after Toriyama quit (he wasn't pleased saying he would have never made Gohan or Goten that weak) many don't consider the movies or GT to be part of the story.
