I bought something on ebay for probably half of what it's worth. I already paid for it. The seller isn't talking to me and they were before. I'm wondering are they obligated by law to give me the item or its real market value or just return my money? Of course I'm hoping for the item or market value.

But if it comes to me suing them, does anyone know what my rights are. Do they have to pay me the value or come up with the item?

Ebay has a rule of how many days you must wait before complaining if you didn't get the item. Once you've passed that, and you haven't gotten a refund or the item, you can complain to eBay, paypal, your credit card co., and whoever else is involved. And leave negative feedback. Sellers seem to cringe if they get neg. feedback.
