I had a female physical scheduled at the clinic, but a few days before the appointment, my period started. At this point it's very very light. Is it all right to go or should I reschedule?

No you don't have to reschedule as long as it is light the will do one just let the doctor know. I had one done 2 weeks ago and the same thing happened to me I started 4 days before my appointment I called my doctor she said they will do it as long as it isn't heavy so you are good!

The doctors usually ask that you reschedule. The red blood cells can obscure the results of your pap. I would call the office and ask the Dr or his nurse.

A pap smear is supposed to show an unusual grow of cells in your uterus, If you are having your period the test cannot be done it won´t be accurate due to blood, you should reschedule, they won´t do it anyway.

Good luck! ;D

I think you should reschedule, or you can call the clinic and ask about it.

Re schedule because the results could be incorrect and when you're talking about cervical cancers - you'll want your tests to be as accurate as possible.

I dont think you should go during your cycle. as it could mess things up for your true results of test.

No, leave it until a few days after you have finished.
