If so roughly how many cans of primer do you believe it would take to primer a 2nd generation rx7? Thanks! Ryan

yes I did years ago, it will flake off after awhile and the rust will come through it but if you must do it you will need at least 4 or 5 cans on that car.

Bad news using that stuff, it's crappy. You would need about 6 cans if you do tho, but I highly suggest getting some good stuff and using a spray gun. Can primer doesn't stick well and it's really hard to get it even.

It works a lot better if you spray it in while someone else is cranking the car.

It also helps if you can prop the choke open (NOT WITH YOUR FINGER!) during this operation.

Um, and there can be a backfire when you're trying this. As long as you're not too close to the throttle body, this is more spectacular than dangerous. But get too close, and you might get burned.

El jefe, he isn't talking about starting car, but painting it. Def. get a spray gun. Can buy one at Harbour Freights for 30 40 bucks. Get a HVLP gravity gun, will spray most anything and is affordable. Good luck.
