I recently purchased a 2007 Norton antivrus disc, do I need to install this disc or take it back to vendor?

Yahoo only scan your email and attachments for viruses. Nortons is a hugh resource hog, and almost impossible to remove once installed. Will leave over 375 fragments of data glued to all your files, registry and hidden all over your system.
Take it back and use the free AVG, antivirus. The AVG, becomes free after the evaluation period if you don't purchcase. You just will not get auto. updates. and a backgrouund scanner, that in my opinion is a waste of resources.

Yahoo only provides virus scanning of Yahoo email. It's not a program on your computer so you will need the Norton software.

Zone Alarm is even better and does not take up much hard drive space and scans quicker
