WRX are ugly and fast. Definitely a car geek car. Unfortunately most car geeks are not women, so no I don't think a WRX is a chick car

if i ever find a chick that is into her subaru i will get down on one knee and propose... haha no they arent chick cars especially not the rex or impreza... i mean dont get me wrong women can drive them and thats fine and aweseome, but subarus have always sort of been an enthusiasts car... i mean the older ones were just plain ugly, but they gave you such a brute driving experience... theyre absolutely fun cars and have so much potential its not even funny! unfortunately, the brand new scoobys have lost a lot of that old personality, which happens when a smallish brand starts to sell more and looks to become more mainstream... the brand new ones have boring could-be-any-car-company styling and theyre ride is just easier and its easier to go fast (which isnt a bad thing, but from a subaru's purist standpoint theyve killed a legend)
i guess what im trying to say is, subarus are pretty sick no matter whos driving them (but serious bonus points to any chick that can appreciate them for what they are)

not the WRX or Impreza. But every other Subaru is.
the WRX and Impreza are considered Rally cars which is why they avoid that category.

I would not think so. As it has been said, Subaru always manages to make the wrx to look like hell! :-) Does not sound right for a chick car (a la mazda whatever).
I think the clutch is a bit too stiff for girls too.
On the other hand, we could consider it a chicks car... how? well while your friends only manage to sit comfortably 1 chick in their coupes, in a scooby we can sit three!

Traditionally, sporty cars were considered "masculine" cars, so the WRX is a bad example of a chick car. Consider the fact that it has about 300 hp, manual transmission, and sport-racing interior.....and racing has always been considered a man's sport.
A better example of a "chick" car would be a 3-series BMW convertible, or the mid-80's Corvette (Barbie Car)

If only chicks select cars based on performance and reliability then I guess so.
But I think of them as being old folks cars, because they know the value of a buck and need reliable transportation.
A few younger people could stand to learn from this.
By the way I out drove a Turbo Carria in my Dads Subaru and its a 99 Out Back (non turbo).

I wouldn't think so. Some of the new Subarus are bad ***. I like that all of the cars have 4 wheel drive standard.
