I'd just like to know how you guys think.
I think mine was (and don't laugh) "All I ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarten" by Robert Fulghum.
It's really amazing how we overlook life's simplicities and then can look back later and see how it forms the foundation for a fullfilling life.

Oh I have another one: actually it's a series, it starts with "A Child called "It"", and then "The Lost Boy" and I think the last one is "A Man called Dave" but I'm not sure about the last one.
Anyway, it's a trilogy true story about a guy that survived horrific child abuse and overcame it and went on to have a fullfilling and productive life.

"The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis, "Johnathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach and " A God Who Looks Like Me" by Patricia Lynn Reilly
I realized I read them at times when I needed help remembering who I was. This has undoubtably shaped who I've become .... (snicker snicker snicker)

♥ I dont know about life changing books, but I have many thought provoking and wonderful books that I have read.
"A Time To Kill" - John Grisham is such a sad, but wonderful book... it really makes you think about racism and the things that accompany it.
"Perfect Match", "Nineteen Minutes" and "The Pact" - Jodi Picoult - all over these books make you think about the impact of certain things on our life such as a child being sexually abused, love, children, pregnancy, abortion, teenage stress & depression, etc.

humorous you should point out The Screwtape Letters. this is mendacity top next to me, in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that i have yet to commence it! i'd might want to assert that the Bible is the most idea-scary e book i have study, in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that I actual have not study its entirety. i replaced into raised Christian yet left the religion till about 4 years in the past. i'm a wondering sort, and the Bible in many circumstances will strengthen as many questions for me because it does solutions.

I would say that I have at least two that come to mind. Those two are: The Celestine prophecy by James Redfield, and Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard.

Ann of Green Gables, and the follow up. I read it when I was a lost adolescent and it made me see how life can through you around but you can be strong and overcome.

"And the Band Played On."
Not so much life changing but the politics and everything behind the first cases of HIV/AIDS made me angry and got me riled up when reading this.
