In my opinion, Yes.
I believe the war is a disaster. No WMDs, No ties to 9/11, destabilization of the area, 50K+ dead Iraqis, almost 4K dead Americans, billions and billions in toilet, being despised around the world, and simply, more reasons for terrorist to hate us.
However, we have not lost anything. Our troops have done everything we have asked. They have fought hard and long, we owe them a huge Thank You.
Now, any mention of a loose should be attacked as disgusting and unpatriotic.
Lets get the boys home!!!
Thanks for reading.
Please, share you opinions.

Sorry…lose the war.
“we haven’t lost the war we lost the peace” that sound about right.

Well, I guess you could say we won the war but are losing the peace. We got Saddam Hussein out of power, which is great--one fewer dictator in the world. But we've replaced it with utter anarchy and chaos.

If you believe the war is a disaster, as you said, and you point to the destabilization and mass loss of life (I've seen estimates of 600,000 dead Iraqi civilians) and waste of taxpayer dollars, why is it so horrible to suggest we've lost? Saying we've lost isn't blaming the troops, but the chickenhawks who sent them there in the first place without a plan or adequate equipment.

But you're right--let's bring our men and women home.

It was never a war in the traditional sense anyway. It's a ******* invasion and occupation. Yeah the troops did everything they're supposed to, but a few bad eggs have made military service abhorent to most. And we really need the National Guard AT HOME! They're not even supposed to be there. In my opinion, it was lost before it began. And you know, lies about the "war" are more humiliating and demoralizing to the troops than the truth. They're not stupid people, don't treat them like they are!

As a soldier who served a year in Iraq when the war first began, saying that we might lose the war is not unpatriotic. The men and women who protect this country are also protecting the rights of its citizens. If someone feels this way, then it is their right to do so.

"The way I look at it, we're spreading freedom, and you have to support the troops and you have to support the war. You can't just tell some Marine who just lost his buddy that we supported you but not the war, because in that case you're basically saying that Marine, his buddy, just died for nothing. We're one team."

Quote by Lance Cpl. Jeremy Staat, a former Pittsburgh Steeler who was motivated by his former college roommate to move from the football field to the battlefield. Staat's former college roommate was the late Pat Tillman, an Army Ranger who started for the Arizona Cardinals before leaving the NFL in 2002 to fight in the war on terrorism. Staat began a seven-month tour in Iraq last spring.

Brainy (really?) - The quotation marks indicate that I was providing someone else's words in order to show the perspective of someone who actually has courage rather than just a big mouth.

The troops were put in an unwinable situation in an illegal invasion of an other nation. Don't blame the troops, blame the moron in the "White House" & his cronies. They are making a fortune through their investments in Haliburton and other corps. at the expense of the US taxpayer. The lives of 650K Iraqis and 4K Americans is a small price to pay for them, since none of their kids are in any danger. When the US finally has to get out, they will be responcible for one he!! of a bloodbath of ethnic cleansing that will rival Rwanda.

Do we still have freedom of speech in this country?
Can we still say what we want without being called unamerican. I think it was a diaster and a failure because no one counted on them hating each other worse than they hated us. They will never stop fighting and it will never end and it was a mistake. That doesn't mean I don't feel sorry for the guys who have to be over there.
I just think it was a miscalculation. If I still have freedom of speech??????????

Some people's comments regarding the war, as unpopular as it is, are walking a fine line between patriotism and treason. Anywhere but America, statements would never be made openly as here. Just listening to some of the potential Presidential candidates and their supporters make me ill!

there is nothing upatriotic about it. It is very possible to support our troops but not support the war. People might call you unpatriotic for thinking that way, but in my opinion they can call you, me or anyone else for that matter whatever they want....sticks and stones you know?
