Not that rude. What a jerk. We were just commenting on rudeness this past week-end while at an art and harvest festival in a suburb of Buffalo - Orchard Park. It was very nicely set up and the crafters had a lot of new things. Every booth we went to we tried to be friendly and say hi to the people sitting there. No one bothered to say hello back or even say anything if we tried to engage them in conversation. The lady that took the cake was one that had her headphones on while I purchased something. She did say thank you to me but my friend was asking her a question and she just sat there totally involved in her music and never acknowledged her at all. Kelly just said loudly that she had just lost a sale and if she was that bored by being there she should pack up and leave. No response. I did craft shows years ago and you didn't just sit there like a brick. Not if you wanted a sale.
Rudeness to us may not be rudeness to some people of other countries. It's all in how you've been raised. While in Disney World we ran across a lot of people from foreign countries that would push and shove and butt ahead of you. We were like "excuse me!!!". I heard someone say that if you go on a cruise, you should check into the line you are traveling with as some lines, they menitoned an Italian line, do not do things like the American ones. For example - not all bathrooms are separated. They don't have buffet lines like we do. It's just go up and get your food. So if you aren't prepared to go with the flow, don't go.

People nowadays don't have manners and they don't know if what they are going to say is going to offend someone or not.
They are darn egoists, they live only for themselves.
But again, there are some people who play the polite ones but deep inside they are the most rude b@stards in the whole world!
People will bever change. So an actual answer to this question is very difficult to find.
There could be loads of factors that make someone impolite: stupidity, low self-confidence, bad up-bringing, not enough education, being poor... everything negative could be in that list for sure!

That is really rude, I don't understand why some people have to be so rude. Thankfully no one has been rude to me lately. I try to avoid people like that. I'm a nice person I could never be rude like that. I don't know how I would respond to someone like that other than how you did. Just remember there are aholes everywhere that for some reason think they are better than others.

No way! He said your child was dirty? I would have told him off. That's a rotten thing to say!
Just this morning an elderly woman honked at me when I was stopped at a red light. Perhaps she was unaware the light was red. She honked and honked even after the light turned green and traffic started moving. Finally she passed me and all the other cars and flipped us the bird! She was old as dirt, too. Senile old cow.

Daily! I work in Manhattan!!
My major complaint is one client's art director.
When he asked why we are not on Adobe CS3 and Quark 8, I responded that I had put in a request, but I had to wait until next quarter's budget.
He scoffed and said "Well why don't you just go buy it yourself?"
I snapped right back: "Oh sure, would you like to pay my rent and bills for the next 4 months then?"

Many people of higher class for example the rich think that they are better than everybody else. Even though society does not work that way, many others do it through their children like the man at the super market. He is a big snob for doing that to you!

people are impolite because of the fact at present manners are incredibly much non-existent. they're additionally impolite as a protection mechanism. in the event that they have low self-nicely worth it makes them experience greater proper approximately themselves, or they only decide to triumph over some one else to the punch. it is extremely uncommon on the present time to locate someone with stable manners. of course, each each now and then people are merely inherently advise. fairly in extreme college. it is rather like a jungle there.

I guess rudeness comes with ill breeding. It is in ones blood....
... to be polite needs nothing but a smile. Go on little trees, have a big heart and let there be shade from hot sun with your happy foliage...
Forgive them Lord for they do not know what they do or say...

I know what you mean. I was in Wal-Mart last year around Christmas time and this woman was bragging about buying toys for the less fortunate. It was so obvious! I said to my son, "Oh look. You're going to have a good Christmas this year!" All the other mothers in the isle started clapping. The woman threw the toy she was holding in her cart and left in a hurry.
