He has announced his retirement, from the Senate, and said that he leaves with as much enthusiasm as he started with. He also said that he hopes to have the opportunity to serve the country in some other capacity.
His approval ratings in Nebraska are near 60%. So there is a good chance that he would have been reelected to the Senate.
Apparently his health is not an issue. So what do you think? Do you think he'll run for President as an independent?

P.S. Last night Jack Cafferty did an hour long segment of "The Cafferty Files". He reported that most of us are unhappy with the current state of the country and the direction that the country is heading. They did a segment about the obstacles confronting a third party. And Chuck Hagel was a guest on the program.
