It depends on how big the house is. And how efficiant the furnace is. And how cold it is outside and how warm inside. And how well the house is insulated. In other words, how often the furnace runs. Maybe a week or two. And propane costs a lot more in small tanks than having a large one filled.

Sorry...no one can answer your question. We don't know your furnace's make, model, or age. All will have a direct impact on how long the propane would last.
Contact your utility, and find-out from them. It should last about the same as 100lbs of natural gas...since the two are one on the same in most markets.

Not very long.We use a 100# tank for a small trailer on our Christmas tree lot and we have a 20,000 BTU ceramic heater and the propane lasts about 4 weeks. That's with the heat shut off every night.

It depends on how big your furnace is and how cold it gets where you are at. plus, why would you want to switch? I have to use LP, dont have a choice. natural gas is a much better value. I live in northern indiana and had to use a 100# while i was waiting for my tank to be filled and it lasted me less then a week in cold weather.

Not nearly long enough. Propane will probably cost you at least 4-5 times as much as natural gas and, maybe twice that!

your furnace should use around 1.5 gallons of propane an hour. your bottles combined should hold around 48 gallons so you have a run time of 26 hours give or take
