It could, it might just require a little more effort and trust to make it work, but all relationships are difficult and you have to work at them, so I guess it all depends on how hard you're willing to work to make the relationship last.

That very much depends on the people involved.
The distance means you have to depend on communication, and imagination more than direct contact. This can do wonders for you when you do get together. I met my wife just before I started a job at the other end of the country, and in the end I ditched the job as most spare time efforts were about getting together. It certainly makes you consider what is important to you. So.... I think long distance relationships can work, but not forever..... something has to give.

I think so! I was in a long distance relationship for almost 9 months. I was 3 hours away at college, and it was hard but i think that if both people want it to work and actually work at it...then the relationship will work. I am not going to lie its really hard, and sometimes i would make late night drives home just to see him for 3 hours and turn around and drive back down to school. It takes effort just like and relationship, but i think with it being a long distance relationship it takes even more effort. If you are considering one good luck! I hope it works out!

I dont think anyone WANTS to have a long distance relationship. Life happens and gets in the way, you just have to work around it. If someone wants to be with their long distance BF or GF enough/or they love them enough, they will move to where the other person is and quit the long distance thing. Those people who have relationships over the internet or out of state "just because" are probably wasting their time. Long distance relationships wont last if there isnt commitment.

I've had several which were long distance for a year or more, but I really think there has to be an end in sight or there's no point. It's one thing to try to last til you can be together again; it's completely different if you don't plan to ever be together in person.

My last relationship was kinda long distance...& as much as I tried to make it work it didn't. Sometimes can make them work for a long time, but in the end the distace does cause problems.

Yes absolutely - When something is worth having you can't put a distance between that. For instance - look at the military and celebrities that heve worked throught this. It may not be easy - but anything worth having usually isn't easy.

of course i dont see why not. as long as u keep in touch it should work fine. my first couple bfs were long distance relationships. the only reason any of them fell out was some loss of contact with each other.

A person, is always a person with feelings, needs and dreams wherever he /she is..A closed relation doesnt mean that we have found the angel of our life because he lives in the same city..
People who have grown up together and got married have divorced, others with a glance got married in different continents..
Chemistry my dear, this is the important, touch of soul, not flags or distances...
