Is there anything else beside Calling child enforcement. Because according to them I can do nothing...... Does Florida have some kind of law about other states coming in. I told him If he didn't start paying I would not let him see the kids anymore. He only sees them once a year anyway.

YES, If there is a court order that requires he pay child support, then he either pays or goes to jail. He is basically in contempt of court. He is merely trying to get out of it. Take your papers to your local child support agency to file a complaint.

Nonense. You have a court order. That gives you rights. If the child support agency won't help (many don't when you are involved with ex in a different state because it costs them more to collect it for you.)

You can go for liens. In my state it is 6 months of non-payment will qualify for a lien on vehicle titles and tax refund interception. The longer it goes and more money is in arreages the stiffer the penalties, however, it is ENFORCEMENT is only handled by the state if he lived in this state. My ex lives in Illinois and has never paid and never been prosecuted. Next year the arreages (16 yrs) will be high enough that I am going to hire a collection agency. Yeah you can do that! They charge him extra to collect so it does not come out of your pocket and they have a legal referral to get it back in court.

Mine did the same thing but when he got to $3,000 behind in support the courts put a warrant out for his arrest. All I did was call my case worker first month the support did not show up in my account and question why it was not there. The case worker did the rest.

However every state deals with child support enforcement differently so call your Friend of the court and talk to them.
If he does not pay then he has to go to jail.

Also when he gets to 5,000 or more you can contact supportkids.com and they can help collet the money if the courts are not doing their job.

The child support office can only do so much across state lines. They rely on the other state to keep tabs on the party who resides there. You will have to forget about him ever getting caught up. If he has quit a job chances are good he will quit other jobs. I have 2 dead beat dads owing 11,000 and 6,000. so you are lucky to get anything.
