I have never heard of that one, you might want to try chamomile tea before bed, put the tea bag in the cup, pour boiling water in, then put something over the cup to hold in the steam, let sit for 5 min., also you can try valarian, and melatonin. All three work great for sleeping problems

Ive never heard this about lettuce, but just having something in the stomach helps me sleep better, and lettuce is a good choice as it doesnt turn into fat when you sleep.

The French give babies wine to make them sleep, but I never heard of lettuce. I'd like to know if their is any truth to it though since we have a baby on the way and I'll need the sleep.

wow, did not know that,
but lettuce is hard to digest, it could give you a tummy ache if you eat it before bed.
I eat it before bed, because it's yummy, and I get insomnia. ?? didn't notice any difference

I'm not sure about his one, but I too have had insomnia. You really must adopt a healthy lifestyle and drink lots of water. Chill out more after work and do not drink alcohol to excess. Don't let your mind become so busy that you cannot just be still, take up meditation, and go to see a therapist. You must put your lifestyle under the microscope, and change the thing that is keeping you awake, you may already know what it is. Go for some blood tests too, it could your thyroid, most of all, be positive, you can re-train your mind! All the very best, Jo xx

I have never heard of that either and I would think it would make you want to pee more.
I found this on the web:

I drink wine before bed and don't have a problem sleeping at all. You could also try Tylenol PMs or something until you get your normal sleep pattern back. Good luck!

I don't know how that would work, but it doesn't sound harmful.
Also, I would not recommend following any of China's health care practices.
