Those boys deserve to be tried and sent to jail. They ganged up on one kid and beat him up!!!!! Al Sharpton is a joke! Anyone else agree?

provoked or not ,6-1 is not a fair fight, as for the boys hanging nooses, they should have been punished by expulsion from school, that was terrible!They should also be made to take a race sensitivity class before being back allowed in school, but beating some one up, especially 6-1 is horrible. Violence cannot be tolerated.

they're not going to jail because they are black they're going to jail for assault. people cant see that because they're too blinded by hate for the white kids not being jailed for the threat they displayed by hanging the nooses. maybe they are being treated more severely for being black, but they should still do the time for the crime. and most have fogotten that these boys are far from innocent, they do have prior criminal records.
i think the noose hangers should be in some sort of trouble too though, that is the equivelent of a threat to me.but i dont believe its the punishments were handed out based on race...the punishments and/or lack thereof are based on 2 very different levels of crime they should have 2 very different punishments

This is a sore subject, racial violence. There are three sides to every story. Lets examine the "facts" as reported:
1. Racial tension at school (This is the south)
2. Ropes hanging from tree to scare the blacks.
3. Racial fights break out.
4. Six on one fight or what I call a good a ss whooping.
5. Cops called arrest the black kids.
6. White kid in hospital.
Now I think the school should have been in a lockdown, because you know the administration had to know that the situation was ready to explode and did nothing.
Sharpton and Jackson looking to shake down the city for whatever.

The white kids should have been suspended when they hung nooses in the tree. It was provoking and the school administration could have prevented that infamous fight in the first place.
I completely understand that the black boys got pissed off, but they shouldn't have ganged up on him and beat him up like that.
The black boys should have gotten also a suspension and i.e community service...they are all16 for crying out loud. Not attemted murder charges.
Now the media is having a field day making this a bigger deal than it is, playing the race card to no limit and send everyone back 50 years. just so the back racist preachers out there get free media coverage. SICK

Al and that moron Jackson do more to fan the fire of racism more than anyone. They do not hold people accountable for thier actions, only the horrible white people.
What these kids did wrong and they need to acknowledge that before any talk of how unfair the judicial system is. But if there is a camera there, and money to solicite from people around they will be on the first plane there.

While I agree with you, I also believe that the boys who hung the nooses from the tree should be brought to trial and sentenced to jail as well. As far as Sharpton is concerned, I agree with you 110%. He never did appoligized for his condemnation of the Duke La Crosse boys which proves him to be a racist himself. He and Jackson are nothing more than a couple of antagonists and should not be taken seriously.

Racism should not even be an issue here. People are responsible for their actions and if you beat some one that badly especially when they are helpless, it becomes more than a school fight. They deserve punishment.
It makes me cringe that people call Al a Reverend. He does nothing but fuel the fires for racism and breed more hate.

Absolutely. If it were 6 white kids beating up a black kid, Al and Jesse would have them tried and executed. Not being able to railroad the Duke lacrosse players really hurt them. They sense that they have a really good s%&t-disturbing situation here.

Sent to jail...but not for Second Degree Murder...,.Since it's okay to hang nooses...and get 3 day suspension. Than they should give the Gena 6.... 3 months jail time. Let the time fit the crime....Victim my ***.....when ur out partying the same night...give me a break!!! The gena 6 should be reprimanded...for less than a year for a school fight. let me rape ur daughter and hang her naked pictures on your front tree. See how much you'll let that go!!!

I agree they need to be punished for what they did....I hope the family of the boy who was beat sues all families involved in the beating...
