There can never be a guarantee. Be sure you know her well enough first, and be sure she wants the same thing you do. Make sure her character is one that respects and wants commitment in her life. Be sure her past shows proof of her commitment to things. You'll have to take a chance though. People change, so you never know for sure. Trust me, I've been there. You can't control another person, so the best thing to do is to ensure yourself that they are of good character in the first place.....and that you are not just guided by love...but also by honest evaluation of this person before you marry them.

Don't marry her until you are sure she's the one. You need to know 1st that there's attraction. 2nd that you are compatible (mentally and physically). Get to know her well and she need to get to know you well also. There's no certainty in the longevity of marriage anymore as it's become far to easy and 'normal' for divorce. If you can, live with her before you start thinking about marriage. You may find that you're not compatible living together. Focus on the things that are important to you and let go of the little things (like leaving the cap off the toothpaste for example). Remember, that fundamentally you can not change a person so if you find something that you don't like in her personality expect that you'll live with that forever. Most of all, love her, respect her and give her the freedom to be herself.

Be kind and honest, be the best you can be and live your life to the fullest. But you must marry for LOVE nothing else will ever do! Keep communications going strong even if you think things are going great have many check-in talks often and ask her how she is feeling about you and herself . Tackle any problems early before they simmer for some time,,(if you don't sometimes its too late to help things.) Tell her you LOVE her every day and often,even if you don't feel like telling her that day for some reason DO IT ANYWAY! I am married 31 yrs and still love my husband even though some days I don't like him. It's called life and it's not always easy ! GOOD LUCK!

You need to find a way to meet americans. Then find you a female who also wants you in her life and go from there. Keep your vows after you get married

Well, if you love her and treat her with resepct, and never cheat on her, why would it not last? Of course it has to go both ways. Trust is also a big thing.
