Don't be a cry baby, 75% of the world was colonised, and it's the colonialism that shaped current boundaries of many countries.

The only thing a Malaysian can sue UK for is the creation of Malaysia. If there was no colonialism, Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan and Perlis would still be under Thailand, and the rest would be broken into small sultanates.

Especially an Indian shouldn't allow himself to file a lawsuit because if there was no colonialism he wouldn't even be a Malaysian, he would be probably living in Tamil Nadu.

Malaysians were oppressed? Yes, but it was better than under Japanese occupation. The British took resources but they also built a lot and layed foundation for modern Malaysian legal and education system.

A quote from Malaysiakini: "This suit against the UK basically mirrors the inability of Malaysians to get redress for injustice."
The lawsuit makes no sense. Furthermore, Indians were not slaves, they were paid workers although their pay was low. The same way one could argue that Malaysia is enslaving Indonesians, Pakistanis and Filipinos, if you look at things that way.

Holocaust? Come on, get a life, Ponnusamy! I wonder how many Indians / Malays / Chinese were killed during the colonial era? Might be some but definitely less than in Indian states before the British or in China which is World's number 1 execution machinery.

Put this way: British were advanced, Malays and Indians were backward, so the British took advantage of it. At least the colonies gained their independence, nations swallowed by their Asian neighbours are still under foreign rule: take a look at Southern Thailand, Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Kashmeer, Sikkim, Acheh, West Papua...

After all, it were the British who helped Malaysia during the communist insurgence and Konfrontasi. Without them you would be probably a Maoist country heavily burdened by UN sanctions praising communist leaders like in North Korea, or in other case you would be a part of the Great Indonesia, and the whole country would be no less exploited than under the colonial rule, all the money would flow to Jakarta, and your lands will be resettled under the transmigration programme.

Think about the positive things too. The thing is long time over, get over it finally.
