Not every black person feels this way, but you don't hear the ones that disagree speaking out. So that is why people generalize.
To have a past criminal record does mean a lot. He was charged with the same sort of crime before, so it shows a pattern developing with this kid. He obviously doesn't get that you can't just beat people up.

Total points:
2147 (Level 3) not that i like al sharpton or any thing - but just because you have a criminal record does not make you an evil person - and does not mean that you commit every crime you are charged with or have been charged with - if you get in a fight at school - you go to jail - so now you have a criminal record - you still have the right to be defended - and in some cases judges dont always allow public defenders - black or white - regardless of who is defending who - you still have rights and they get stepped on so easily when you are not represented by someone who knows your rights -
and i dont think the jena 6 handled this the way it should have been handled ( neither did the white boys ) but i think their charges are extreme unless this is not the white boy that hung the noose from the tree - what charges did the white boys receive ? hate crimes ? expulsion >? the school itself failed to provide a harrassment free ( the noose ) place - so whats going on with that end - there will never be jusstice regardless of what happens - because no one will ever be happy -

Don't forget the Duke players. Blacks were all about that "poor woman who had to work as a prostitute". And of course the Twin Fools ( Jackson/Sharpton)got involved and really beat the oppression drum.
Don't hear much from the black community about that one anymore.

OH WOW!!! it's absolutely evident that your knowledge of the facts is lacking.
this issue is NOT about just 'defending the ni**ers with records'!!! Only a moron would overlook the true injustice being done here. The issue is that of OVERKILL within a faulty justice system. this was simply a school yard fight. if LIFE IN PRISON with ATTEMPTED MURDER charges is what the judge and d.a. 'believe' to be fair, then 99% of America should all have a record and/or be in jail right now. in 2007, racial division is on the rise. No, people are not being physically hung (yet again), but the FACT that nooses are allowed to be hung in school yards.... something has to give. This monumental event is a true depiction of how unfair and very much alive the racial divide in America is.
Educate yourself... A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE!!!

Would you hand over your child to the prisons where there is only confinement and worse brutality for the freaks to feed upon? You probably would if you thought like a dictator.
