I do not think so. In fact ICL prompted bcci to launch IPL. Since competition is always better, the ICL and IPL will help to improve cricket in India.

I think it is a huge setback given that BCCI has very friendly relations with Cricket Australia and ECB. McGrath and Warne have already signed up for the league. Also with Indian superstar players in BCCI T20 league, ICL is going to have a tough time (although ICL plan seems to be more organized than BCCI's, given that BCCI has to look after the national team and the other trophies that it manages). I pity Inzi and Yousuf (Pak) though for signing up for ICL. ICL have to somehow come with yet another (and equally cunning as BCCI's) plan to capture the local market.

Kapil Dev is an excelleng cricketer and he needed to do something for cricket by ICL. yet he grow to be up against the super BCCI. no you possibly can win against BCCI, that is rather efficient and can impact something. The recession isn't helping ICL the two. Im afraid ICL will slowly bypass into oblivion.
