no. they probably will get the wild card though simply because detroit and seattle have lost too many games lately - but miracles can still happen - hopefully they won't make the playoffs. but even if they do - cleveland and anaheim will eat them alive !
it's the cubs year buddy so take a seat and your yankees and steinbrenner can go rebuild for next year.....get some decent pitching and trade that cheating f-rod

as much as i hate to say it yes the Yanks will win there division. Look The Red sox had a 11 game lead on them at 1 point but yet its down top now just 1.5 games back. The Yanks win there division but the Redsox will win the Wild Card this year. Then in post season like we saw last year with the Cardinals and Tigers anything is possible. I think the Redsox are a better team then the Yanks. The Red sox will bet the Yanks out of the play race in the ALCS. Good run Yanks but next stop is HOME!!!!

They are certainly within striking range. It would be a huge psychological blow, going into the playoffs, if the Red Sox were to finish behind the yankees after being in first place in the division all year. The Yankees are one back in the loss column and they just might do it.

Michael Z, trade that cheating F-Rod as you say. You can't deny that you wouldn't want him on your team, the Cubbies. The Cubbies will find a way to lose in play-offs & you fans will have to wait more time for a World Series ring. The Yankees are playing very well right now & they do have a good shot at taking division title & if they don't, they have the wild card pretty much in the hands. Go Yankees

The Yankees will win, redsoxs are going to have to deal with just geting the wildcard and then they have to worry about playing the angels. and the great thing is the yankess have owned the indinians if you just look the yankees are better then the indinians in everything. i have a feeling we could be seeing number 27 this year.

Yankees will win the division. Cleveland is not eating anybody alive in the playoffs, if they play the Yankees they'll be looking at getting swept for the 3rd time this year by NY.

Hope so. It would be nice after being 14 1/2 games behind in July. What a comeback.

As a Red Sox fan I believe so because everyone is hurting (i.e. Coco Crisp, Manny, and Ortiz). We can't expect to win when we are inconsisent right now.
I believe we will make the playoffs by winning the Wild Card.

I don't think so...I think the Sox will get back on track this weekend and sweep the D-Rays. It will start with a huge start from Beckett where he will out pitch Kazmir...the Sox will finally put some runs up on Kazmir and that will give them some much needed confidence. Then they will go home and take care of the A's and take three of four from the Twins.
