I understand that i means "me too" or "I feel the same", but generally, do guys use it as a way of dodging certain topics, or more alone the lines of to hide their feelings to an extent?

THANKS!

It's a shortcut. It means "I agree", without having to type what someone else already typed.

the use of the word "ditto" can most certainly be used as a way to dodge an answer. the word became most popular after the 1980's movie "ghost" with patrick swayze, demi moore, and whoopi goldberg. everytime she said "i love you" he would respond "ditto" to keep from having to say the words.

DItto does not mean 'I agree'.

It is a word for a grammatical symbol which is used to replicate.

So in this case I would say If you say 'I Love You' and your boyfriend says ditto, he's saying it back to you without actually saying it.

Not that I do cause I'm just like playin' the field y'know like i'll like do 'er if she's got a good rack...NO NO NO! what the heck do you think we are neanderthals? A real man can come right out and say "I LOVE YOU" Oops

Some guys cannot express themselves well, thus the "ditto' answer.

(Like Patrick Swazye in "Ghost")

Yes, on both :-) It's much easier for a guy to say ditto, then to say anything mushy. Now that you mention it, i don't think i ever heard a girl say ditto :-)

Yes, unless you are in secure relationship, Ditto probably means, "I don't want to say it but I'll go along with it to keep from arguing"

YES!!! They use it to dodge the question. It's a way of acknowledging your question without really answering it.

I think most guys use it so they don't have to say the same thing their gf or wife has said to them
