realise how long dogs live and the care needed and the strength and size they get to? Very sad ,, its like young girls wanting babies as they do handbags..

Yeah I definitely think so...of course not everyone does this. I go to the dog park everyday and there are young guys (20s/30s) who have pit mixes and they are really good with their dogs.
However, I think many people get them especially in more urban areas as a sign of status or power. I hate when people get dogs for that reason and they are never cared for properly. They teach the dog to be mean so it will protect them and the dogs are locked up in apartments all day....and end up turning out to be crazy, wild dogs. It is a sad situation.

Assumptions, assumptions, assumptions. Wouldn't it be boring if we all like the same exact thing. Did you ever think that pit bulls make excellent pets and they are very popular. They get bad raps because of bad owners. I am sure people who buy dogs know the care needed to keep a dog. Maybe your just not a dog person?

Yeah, My 18 year old boy cousin has a staffy. She's pretty hard to control and he has to shut her in the dining room when guests come round so she doesn't scare them. She's not dangerous, just boistrous.
