Yes...my grandparents made them on Thanksgiving and Christmas when I was a kid 50 years ago. I ate them and when I see them sold on the streets of NYC it reminds me of those times....

I really like them! I've had a few gross ones, that were over ripe, but really, nothing says Christmas time like roasted chestnuts.

yeah I tried some at the Christmas Market in Berlin when I was an exchange student there. I was not a big fan. Had some good Gluhwein though.
