Good to know we have new converts for the game.

As someone said earlier, the batsmen try to hit the ball in between players for runs. Try to dispatch it to the boundary (Edge of the playing area) for a four/six, depending on how the ball crosses it (If the ball crosses the boundary without bouncing, it's six runs, else four if it bounces.) The bowler tries to dismiss the batsman by bowling his stumps off. (The three wooden pieces behind the batsman.) The fielders try to stop the flow of runs and also get the batman out by either catching the ball after it leaves contact from the bat before touching the ground, or by throwing and hitting the stumps before the batsman can reach the safety of the crease (the white line) in front of the stumps.
An innings lasts 20/50/infinite amount of over depending on what type of match it is.

Oh yeah, the most important part: The team scoring more runs after their allotted overs wins. But you probably already know this part, don't you

The rules of cricket are too complex, but this is enough to know to start playing/watching a.k.a. enjoying cricket. As you watch/play more you will slowly start learning the not-so-often used rules of the game like 'obstructing the field', 'hat-trick' and so on.

Hope you didn't find my explanation too boring, coz that's the shortest I could make it. If you want it shorter, then I'll tell you what I tell my classmates: "Cricket is like baseball' except ten times longer, hundred times more action-packed and thousand times more interesting!"

u just need to hit the ball withn ur bat
one over =six balls
the more runs the better it is
there can be 4 , 6, runs at a time
4 if the ball hits the ground and crosses the boundry
6 if the ball kisses the floor beyond the boundry
there are extra runs given one run for each mistake
no ball------when the when the bowler crosses the line
wide ball------if the ball is within the set arena for batting
if the ball hits the stumps or the ball is caught b4 it hits the ground or if the fielder throwrs it 2 the wicket when u'r beyound the line then u will be out.........
after hitting the ball u take runs by moving pole wise on the pitch
it follows a two theory
two batsmen bat
two umpires ---whose decision is final
HOPE U GOT THE GAME

cricket is a very easy game to play. ..............two teams play at a time.............each team has 11 players each.......theres a toss to decide which team bats first or bowl 1st.....if the ball goes direct over the boundry rope then its a six& if the ball bouce and then goes towards the rope then its a four ........if the team batting 1st scores 100 then the team batting 2nd have to score 1 run more from the other team to win the match.....each over has six balls
