My ex had these tiny lil cute bunnies and they where all males. If they wernt tryna hump each other they would tryna hump my slippers or the cat (which ate them in the end). Why are they willing to risk their lives for a shag? Is the call to spread their genes that great for them?

They are doing what they are instinctively programmed to do. It's not conscious thought. Animals originally intended for food, like rabbits, need to reproduce large numbers to replace the population as quickly as possible, otherwise they would soon die out as a species!

It's not really sex drive they don't do it for enjoyment their genes are just telling them it is what they should do.
