Can't believe the Bengals didn't snap him up. The kind of quality individual that fits perfectly into their motif.

It can be a good pickup. They are getting him almost at minimun salary for 2 years and hes a good player. Hes done his time and deserves a second chance. If an organization can calm down TO like the cowboys did, Im sure they can calm down the Tank. He will be a good fit once Ferguson come back. Him on one side and Tank on another with outside linebackers like Ware and Ellis. The Cowboys will be a powerhouse, bad news for the rest of the NFC. Tank is a nickname by the way.

When you look the pressure the Cowboys are under to win the East, it is not surprising they picked him up. Through the first two games their D-line has been okay, but nothing great. They have a total of 3 sacks in the last two games (against bad teams), and they allowed the Giants to rush for 121 yards on them in game 1.

The good thing is that they have not allowed any rushing TDs against them yet. I can see Tank being used to add more pressure on opposing QBs. Right now they need help in stopping the pass. They have allowed 6 passing TDs over the last 2 games and they are allowing almost 300 yards per games in passing.

I am guessing the Cowboys figure they can't get anyone to improve their secondary, so they saw Tank was available and decided he could help their rush.

I think it is a good risk.

Tanks real name is Terry Johnson. He will make a great addition to Dallas' defense as a play maker. No matter where they put him on the line, he will find ways to do something big.

His biggest problem is that he does REALLY stupid things. The only thing that might make him a detriment to the team is his inate ability to be a distraction due to his off field behavior. He is still going to have to serve his 8 game suspension, but once he does he will give 100% whenever he is on the field.

Plus, I'm sure that it will be of benefit to get some inside dirt on the Bears offense before this weekends meeting.

Go BEARS!!!

I think it is a very safe move for the Cowboys. Tank Johnson is an extremely low risk or gamble. He will be paid about $260,000 and they will see what he has got. He could potentially do well and if he does not, it is not a significant blow to the payroll.

By the way, does it annoy anyone else that $260,000 is considered a little bit of money to the NFL. Yikes.

Its a good move. Because he is a big body to put on that front line. He is a really good run stopper who can put pressure on the QB. Right now you have Jay Ratliff who is good at pass rush but really hasnt faired so well on the run D. Next year you have Jason Furguson who is coming off of an arm surgury, due 4 million and is I think gonna be 32. Tank is 25 and for now healthy.

Tank is a strong addition, especially considering he's got 5 more games on his suspension. So he won't be available until week 9 (Dallas has a by week in week 8). It's like getting a xmas present for the Defense! He's got all this time to get in shape and learn the schemes...He'll come out strong, as long as he doesn't screw up somehow.

Tank is not his real name, it's Terry. He is a good fit almost anywhere if you need run stoppers. He is fundamentally sound and that means he make the guys around him better as they don't have to worry about that position. If he acts like a sane person in the locker room and out in town he should be alright. If he doesn't, he will disrupt the whole defense.

i don't comprehend why people are making this variety of large deal approximately this. The Cowboys are merely taking great thing approximately the different communities' strict rules to get stable gamers who've gotten themselves in difficulty. Has all and sundry observed that the gamers Dallas has picked up have not gotten in difficulty after the unique difficulty? yet anyhow my answer is Randy Moss.

He is a great player and he will stop the run for the Cowboys. He is going to add depth to the defense. They should be a playoff team.

bad pick up, they're giving him a second chance which he already got in Chicago, hes a good player, but they have him at nosetackle and hes never played that position before. Also Tank is his nickname not his real name, and I must say its a sweet nickname
