I went through the same thing with my daughter. She would sleep fine and then out of nowhere, she started waking up all hours of the night. I was just like you, we lived in an apartment and I was worried about letting her cry so I started bringing her to bed with us. You are right, it helped her sleep longer and she wouldn't wake up at all most nights. But after a few months, we bought a house and even though she has her own room now and I don't have to worry about letting her cry, she still wants to sleep with us.

My advice, don't bring him to bed with you. Once you do, it is very hard to break the habit and it will only make the situation worse for the both of you. My kiddo for the most part, sleeps the whole night in her room in her bed, but on occasion, she will wake up and want to sleep with us, but we still will not allow her, for worry that she will think it is ok to start again.

Just explain to the people that you stay with what's going on. I think they will better understand, if you let them know before hand and will prepare themselves to some point about the baby crying in the night. You may also want to look up "The Ferber Method". It deals with this kind of situation and getting your kiddo used to sleeping alone. It's hard in the beginning, but it's worth it to you and your baby.

Hope this helped!

My son used to be like that but I let him do something instead of sleeping late in afternoon. He's definitely tired from his activities so he easily dozes off to bed after having a warm bath and a soothing massage. I bought him a shampoo, body wash, and body lotion that enhances sleeping.
The next day he wakes up with good mood all throughout the day.Make sure his room is favorable to rest and sleep. Play his favorite lullaby.
Good luck!

He is probably going thru a growth spurt and is a little sore. Before bed make sure he eats something like some warm oatmeal or a cup of warm milk and also, a soothing warm bath before bed and after the bath give him a light massage all over while your lotion him. The best lotion for this is the chamomile and lavender ones. My son also slept better when there was classical music played very softly in his room.
good luck I know what your going thru.
