Yes, but is has hurt both parties. Neither is innocent of congressional grandstanding, and depending on who you vote with, your outlook may be the Republicans are blocking the Dems at every opportunity, so that's why nothing is getting passed. It's ridiculous, and needs to stop from both ends.

Absolutely. The poll that came out yesterday said their approval rating is a dismal 11%, and this is a Democrat led congress.
I'm still scratching my head as to how they got control of the congress, because their poll numbers started dropping the day they took office. I normally don't believe in conspiracy theories or make up wild allegations, but it wouldn't surprise me if some of the foaming at the mouth, rabid liberal democrats stuffed the ballot boxes in some precincts. These people would actually convince themselves they're doing it for the good of the country, not breaking the law.
Whenever there is an incident of voter fraud such as pets and dead people voting, it's always the Democrats that got voted for, never a Republican. It's just that Republicans have too much class to drag the country through that sort of investigation every election because it tarnishes the office.

Yes. The grandstanding has shown the Dems to be gutless wonders who lack the courage to do something. If they really believed their rhetoric about the terrible waste of lives, the immorality of the war and the illegal acts of GWB they would have:
1) Put forth articles of impeachment
2) Cut off all funding
They did and will not do this. Why:
1) They do not believe what they are saying.
2) It might cost them their cush positions
3) They might be in the White House again and will want to be able to do what they want without the precedent of Congress stopping the President (See Hati, Vietnam, Bosnia, Kosovo,...)

Yes, they are all over the map.
They scrutinize, criticize and complain endlessly.
War is not waged on arbitrary political time lines.
The operational and theatrical levels of war ( troop levels, deployment schedules, etc.) should be up to commanders in the field, not by Congress.
The troops are warriors not victims.
And Americans understand that........

If they cut off funding, or set a time table for withdrawal they are traitors. If they voice there concerns about the lack of political progress in Iraq they are grandstanding. Obviously some Republicans want to shift the blame for their failed policies to someone else.

Iraq has hurt both political parties, and our entire nation.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and all their war-mongering friends deserve a special oil-soaked, blood-stained corner of Hell where they can spend eternity, along with:
*ALL 535 members of the most arrogant, incompetent, evil, contemptible, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led Congress in U.S. history that turned its back while Bush ran rip shod over our Constitution - and-
* ALL 535 members of the most arrogant, incompetent, evil, contemptible, cowardly, corrupt Democratic-led Congress in U.S. history that promised to end this immoral war if they were elected - and, to date, has done nothing to keep that promise.
May God damn them all!!! -RKO- 09/20/07

Correct-o-mundo!
They have not a clue that the country is sick of their whining about the last 2 elections.
But thats ok.... I'll put up with 4 more years of whining if it means they lose again. It's a big burden but somebody has to do it!
