OMG! FINALLY someone who has some sense! lol. I've been saying that for years. What is going on with music these days?!?! I can't stand rap and truly do not find the talent in it (sorry but it's just my opinion.) Even now-a-days "rock" music, or what is cosidered to be rock, is lacking. It all sounds so whiny to me. I'm obsessed with the 80's hair bands.

Aerosmith, Dokken (with George Lynch), Ratt, Poison, Motley Crue, Tesla, White Lion, White Snake, Firehouse, Warrant, Winger... awww I could literally go on forever!

I'm a rock fanatic and was just sooo excited when I seen that you asked this question. It's about time that someone speaks up. Lets bring 80's music back!!!

ROCK ON!

the reason all the songs today sound the same is because they all talk about sex, money, and drugs.
no body knows how to come up with something original.
but yeah i agree, i love the 80's and 90's! they knew music then. now a days i love rock. it is the best kind of music these days. you don't here the same **** in every song like hip hop or rap.

I totally agree with ya.
We need the 80s music back in popularity.

A lot of new songs today are crazy. Even the bands of the 80s are coming back but their music is loud and heavy and sometimes dark.

I'd rather have the 60's and 70's back, but I do love some 80's.

Right now, I've spent the last 3 days just listening to Robert Palmer ~ he had so many great 'album track' songs that no one ever remembers!

The problem today is not that the music is all that bad. The problem is that RADIO is bad. If you want to hear new music, you have to BUY XM! Commercial radio is full of oldies and hip-hop and whatever! I don't know of one station where you can tune in and hear new rock!
There hasn't been one, where I live, since 2002....it went out of business. It was a rock station and it went hip hop.
It was called 104. It was cool man.

I agree. Everything today seems so fabricated, and in the 80's there was so much happening musically. Some good, some bad, but at least it was for the most part original and creative.

80's are okay. 70's are better. 60's are the best. In my opinion having lived through those eras and I still listen to Rock 'n Roll, like Bob Seegar said give me that old time Rock 'n Roll.
