I saw one at the local shopping centre and it was HUGE. How on earth are you supposed to hold it up. Good grief if it ever fell on me I would be crushed, and I aint exactly petite. I'd never be able to pick it up again.
You learn something new everyday.

It is about the biggest bike made, my GL 1800 is not only super comfortable, it is fast as hell! Corners great, and is a joy to drive. To pick up one that has fallen requires technique, but even a small woman can do it if done right. Try to just lift it and you will get no where. My bike wieghs in at about 850 pounds. My older version weighed 950 Dry! And yes, I can get it back up if it falls over...only happend to me twice....parked it on asphalt, in heat, the stand went through the road. Peace, Goldwing

A Goldwing is NOT a 'motorBIKE'. It's a MOTOR CYCLE. Built by HONDA. A motorbike is something like a MOPED.
Goldwings run from 1000cc to 1800cc.

You are right on the big side Jilli. A friend and I were out early one AM and she was watching the coming traffic as we were going to turn right. There was an older couple in front of us on a GW, they fell over and my friend started to turn I yelled at her and we stopped and had to get out and help them upright the bike again, with the help of two guys going by and seeing us. I think the old guy needed training wheels. My little grandson is 5 and has his own Yamaha 50--he is good enough now that the training wheels are off. He is so cute all decked out in his boots and armour and helmet, dinky Evel Kinevel. I hold my breath.

They are super comfortbale though, and riding as a passenger on one is a lot more pleasant than on some bikes. They normally have a automatic kickstop for precisely the reason that they're so huge, but they're surprisingly easy to balance.
God Bless you Honda, creator of dreams.
