The U.K. banned the release of Ben Afflecks new movie 'Gone, Baby, Gone' because they felt it had too many similarities to the Madeline McCann story. I'm just curious if people feel that is right or wrong. There are other kidnapping movies out there, and millions of other children have disapperaed. Do you feel this is fair?

I think it's fair to ban ALL of his movies...you know, for the common good of the people.

I dont think its fair for the people who put time and effort into the movie but think about the family. I know there are other kidnapping movies out there but this one will prob have posters, tv ads everywhere to promote it and it would prob remind everyone about the McCann story. So i dont think its fair but i guess its kinda the right thing to do at the time. Who knows maybe they will bring the movie out a little later when the timing is better.

This may be a sensitive subject.
But, the reality is, Ben Afflect is producing this movie such that others will be aware of the possibilities of such a situation!
He is touching millions not because of Madeline, but because it can happen!?!

I have NOT seen the movie, but i would automatically say this though: BEN AFFLECT has enough taste and moral altitude to be sure that his movie will "touch" people with "class" and not in such a way to offend them.

Like i said. Its about bringing awareness and caution.
And his movie is not about disturbing the pot.

just my thoughts

i think its all about timing, its too fresh and would cause to much grief to those who care, im sure it will come out a little later when things have died down.
