I'm a conservative of the hippie era with two children who have their Masters degrees with Honors which they paid for with hard work. One is a nurse and the other one is a teacher. They both excel in their jobs because they care.
As to helping the children who are handicapped - of course we should help them! It's not their fault they were born with or became handicapped. It's not usually the fault of the parent either. It is many times the fault of the drug industry and additives in our foods - including injections in animals, and environmental pollution from the oil industry, factories, etc.
I support the liberal minded Ron Paul who wants to eliminate excessive government bureaucracy and un-Constitutional income tax. He wants to bring the government back to the people.
Our Senators are at an all time low of 11% approval rating because of their constant attempts at providing amnesty for illegals and forcing US citizens to pay for them out of their hard earned money. The Dream Act is the most recent of these attempts that Congress is trying force Americans to pay for - 4 years of free higher education rewarded with amnesty. What about free higher education for the rest of the US children?
US citizens have grown weary of their lack of government representation as the Senate continues to pass bills that hurt every US citizen by taking away our Constitutional rights. It is time for an overhaul of our corrupt government and to bring back justice and liberty to our great nation.
Like you said, there are no free rides. We each have to work and earn our way in life. Far too many people are sitting back and letting someone else pay their way in life.
To those who have lost their jobs because of NAFTA, CAFTA, NAU, amnesty, etc. - they will have a right to choose a new President who will represent the rights of the US citizens and bring America's jobs back home.
ICE needs to do a much better job of eliminating illegals in our country. National Security begins at home!

I doubt that we are getting through. The left leaners and the Liberals were most likely taught leftist politics in school and at home. You and I both know that good government is less government. Most don't get involved with their local or state government. If the Libs tried to look at the other side, for just a moment and really look at the conservative philosophy, instead of what they have read or heard in the Liberal media they might learn that you are exactly right, "There is no such thing as free lunch."

Education is an on-going and tedious process. Look what conservative educators have to work on.

First you better check out university wages. A lot of them make less than high school teachers.
