I just bought a brand new d-link router and its all set up the xbox lives can connect and the main computer can connect and my brothers laptop just not mine and I restarted my computer does anyone know why? I have a gatway MA3 and before I installed this router I was able to connect useing the other router.

I am wirless and i am notsure on the wifi protection i think i prolly use the basic

Are you wireless or wired?
You might have you TCP/IP setting on manual and not automatic.
Goto Control Panel -> Network Connections
Right click on the network adapter you are using and selec properties. Scroll down to and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on the properties button.
Make sure the General Tab the following options are selected:
-Obtain an IP address Automatically
-Obtain DNS Server Automatically
On the Alternative Configuration tab make sure the following option is selected:
-Automatic Private IP Address
Back on the General Tab click on the Advanced Button. Under the IP Address Window it should say:
-DHCP Enabled.
Try rebooting now.....

think u need to tel us if ur using wifi any protection etc first
