I think you put too many players.
15 is the max player a team can have (I think).

I don't see any solid player in the Center position unless Chris Mihm (assuming he's already 100%).
They should get help in the terms of rebounding because so far, Lamar Odom is the sole rebounder on this team.

Haters act as if the Lakers only won 30 games last year. As I've said on this site before, if the team can stay relatively healthy, they have a shot at winning 50 games this season; which should place them 4th, no worst than 5th in the West.
Things that work in their favor:

A slimmer, quicker Kobe Bryant will be better defensively
Stronger Bynum fiqures to play with a chip on his shoulder
Derek Fisher provides much leadership, outside shot at PG
Kwame, playing for his NBA life figures to be motivated
Chris Mihm will add defense, toughness and rebounding
Vladimir Radmanovich can't play any worse than last season

A schedule frontloaded with home games should give the team confidence heading into the all star break, plus there's always the possibility of a trade at the deadline.

Oh by the way, previous posters are correct. You've listed too many players. Some will be cut, some will play in the D-League, and others will be designated for the injured list.

don't worry about the lineup it doesn't mean much at all
the lakers are gonna be 41 and 41
and be the 7th or 8th team in the playoffs
lose to the mavs suns or spurs in 5 games wit the black mamba averaging 45
this is gonna happen until 2008 when they sign baron davis
or if that doesnt go through in 2009 when kobe becomes a free agent
so just hold tight laker fans
grab some popcorn and a soda
and watch kobe destroy his defender while his team loses by twentey
wait another year or two
then get out the hd television and surroud sound and watch espn's continuing coverage of the kobe off sesaon story

They will mos-def do better this year. But I have to say. They would need Luke Walton in the starting 5. He is key to the triangle offense! I now Lakers just signed Elton Brown, but is he that good to start???? I was thinking if Bynum can get off his A55 and work hard, the Lakers could put Mihm as C and K. Brown as PF, making Odom SF and Kobe and and D-Fish Gs! They would have Bynum or Gasol as back up Cs and Ronny and Rad-man as back up PF!!! If everyone stays healthy, they can do it.

with that roster ya i think so they dident get better unlees they make a midseason move check this out they added another F/C means they got 4 centers i smell a midseason trade maybe bringing in kidd or oneal kobe did play with kidd he would bring so much to the table something kobe needs a guy to open the court then maybe just maybe u can trade odom and another guy plud draft pick for oneal and have em both long shot but just an idea

the line up will be
Derek Fisher PG
Kobe Bryant SG
Luke Walton SF
Lamar Odom F
Kwame Brown C
like last year - fisher

i think there are 2 important players in this team besides kobe. one is odom and the other is kwame brown, they tend to be inconsistent. some nights they play well, but some nights, they look lost. if they can cover both of their inconsistent play they will have a good season.

The triangle offense is over my head.

Sadly, it is also beyond the comprehension of most Laker players too!

I cannot look at the Laker line-up and figure out their potential.

It depends on the coach a lot! Is the coach really up to the challenge???

Marc gasol isn't playing this season, hes staying international. Larry Turner was just a camp Invite so hes not in the roster. Hopefully the Lakers can have a better season then before, and that they can stay healthy.

2 thumbs down ? .... im not a laker hater lol ima fan.

No, they won't be 1st round drop outs with dat kind of roster because you're only allowed to have 12 players on your roster in the Playoffs.

P.S. you're an idiot.

They will be mediocre at best. They need to revamp the entire team, not just add a few VERY AVERAGE new guys.
