I am, as indicated in the title, a virgin, and have never had sex before, I am getting it to regulate my periods.

Will I need to get a pap smear and that whole other gyno exam thing?

Will I be able to refuse it and still get the pills?

I had to. But not all places do.. Just talk to that doctor and see what they say. you should be fine but its no big deal to get a pap test done. and its a really good idea honestly. why not start now? if you got your period I say its time. not for anything sexually related but for the cancer and irregular things that could be going on in there without you knowing. some women get cysts or anything.

when I was 14 I had to get a pap before they would give me condoms or birth control, but I went to a clinic because I had no insurance and couldnt let my parents know. When I went to a real doctor I told them I had never had sex but wanted to be on birth control and they said since I hadn't had sex yet I wouldn't need the pap. Some places don't even do paps till you are 18.

I had to have one, no doctor in the area would prescribe them for me without a pap.

It really is a good age to start getting them. They aren't that bad, the waiting before hand is worse than the actual test, the test only takes about 2 minutes.

At 13 you shouldn't need to take the pill to regulate your periods. If they're not *normal* by 16, THEN you should start taking them.
Your body will regulate itself, it just can take 2 years or more to do so.
Give it time!
