I don't have a problem with it. It is entertainment, after all.
But I do admire the words of the late Paul "Bear" Bryant when he said, "When you get into the end zone, try to act as if you've been there before."

As a football fan I like it to point. It can get excessive at times. As a football coach I hate it and my players will never do it. Ever hear the term "Act like you have been there before" Last season we where down by 3 with 18 seconds to go in the game. The opposing team had the ball on our 18. 4th and long and some reason the went for it. Maybe because we could not really move the ball all day. So I am thinking they will run it waste some time and leave it to thier D. The QB drops back to pass, my D drops to pass pretction. He throws it and my player picks it off at the 2 and takes it 98 yards for the TD we win. My player turns to the ref hand him the ball, high fives a couple team mates and then we shake hands.

Absolutely. They should also be allowed to spike the ball without incurring a penalty. Sure, football is a multi-billion dollar industry but it's also a game and I think the league is losing sight of that. It's the antics of the players that attract new fans year after year making them more money. No one cared about what Jon Jansen had to say last year or this year either before his injury despite the fact that he's one of those work horse guys who gets the job done. Everyone wanted to know if Kid Bro Sweets was making an appearance and everyone tuned in when SE Jerome made a cameo from Heaven.

I don't care for them. I tend to prefer substance over style. I would rather focus on the replay that shows the 1 or 2 critical blocks that sprung the runner and give more credit to the meat and potatoes guys than to continually focus on the self-serving egomaniacs.
I think it was Vince Lombardi that said, "When you reach the end-zone and score a touchdown, act like you have been there before." Well put, Vince.

Absolutely. The NFL is trying to "pussify" Football, sterilizing the game to the point of complete numbness. Let T.O. run FREE and provide rolling-on-the-floor laughing entertainment to the viewing masses! Allow unrestricted displays of celebration, and leave the sterile, boring atmosphere for polo and shuffleboard!

celebrations are great if done with class and respect for the game. With the classless players in the league now.......i think the commissioner has to put restrictions on the thugs playing the game

hell yeah...........it brings excitement to the game. how excited would yoube to see chad johnson scoring a touchdown and handing the ball to the ref. they get paid enough to give us a little extra. football with no celebrations is like basketball with no dunks.

As long as they aren't done in an insulting or taunting manner, why not? Nothing wrong with a little 'Icky Shuffle' or 'Dirty Bird' to liven things up and entertain the fans. We do pay the bills, after all.

I think its absurd that the NFL fines players for ENTERTAINING the audience. Of course it makes watching football more exciting. I think as long as you don't humiliate the opposing team, then it should be perfectly fine.
