Call what?
The front opening of the car which usually houses the engine is the bonnet. The back opening of the car is the boot. An elephants long nose is a trunk.

I drive a Smart - no 'bonnet', engine in back under 'boot' which is more like a hatch. But I call it boot out of habit.
