hi Faith, the media were getting involved one way or the other, they have made millions of this case.
the parents did not contact the media.
the web site, done nothing for the child, only collected money sold wrist bands,posters and allowed gerry to paint themselves as perfect parents,I.E to win public support, and add links to other sites that made Robert Murat look bad.
the fund remained untouched until they were made suspects, and now the money is going to be used to pay for spin doctors, and advertising campaigns, that will be designed to make them look innocent , more than actually find the child.

I read yesterday that a waiter from the Tapas bar saw Gerry on the beach at midnight crying and calling Madeleine's name. Apart from that ,I don't recall them going through the bins which are emptied nightly in Portugal,rushing off to Spain,Morocco, Switzerland,Belgium or anywhere else she'd been spotted. They just seem to always be on the telly,talking,not DOING

the parents phoned the media before the police, had everyone else searching for madeleine and never bothered themselves, they've visited the pope to strengthen their faith. they've visited amsetrdam, germany, spain meeting people actively involved in organisations against child trafficking etc.
gerry visited the us and gained so much knowledge abd i wonder where or how he has applied this 'so called knowledge'....
they set up a ltd company for donations to support the find madeleine campaign....collected over 1.5 million pounds and no of us know exactly how much money has been spent and on what. hired top lawyer in portugal, pr manager, 'team mccann', and the best qc in the uk.

They have kept Madeleine's face fresh in our memories, whether you agree with them or not, the story is a big, if not bigger than the time the little girl went missing.
They could have hid away, the press would have got bored and gone away.
Behind the scenes none of us know what is going on, that's why I didn't agree with the condemnation of them for not sobbing on TV, it has since come to light that they were advised to keep control as an abductor might enjoy the distress.
If they physically tired to search for Madeleine, any possible abductor, would soon be alerted and flee.
I would bet a lot of money that they have probably hired many Private Investigators, and lets face it, we would not be told about this would we?
The fact that we are still talking about Madeleine as much as we were 4 months ago whether is about Gerry's blog or the latest pictures of them jogging, along side each story is a picture of Madeleine.

That's "ludicrous":
Important and expensive PR (takes time to find)
Meeting with PM (he have a busy agenda)
Arrange lawyers (never been charged but on the safe side...)
Turn the family into a petition fund army (takes time)
Travel around the world spreading they re name around (not Madeleine's)
And go back home (maybe she was fed up of the holidays and went back home on her own)

they keep saying the police aren't looking for their child but they seem to be more concerned about themselves constant change of spokes person and more rubbish statements

It worked. You still haven't forgotten about Madeleine have you...? surely not?

Well if you exclude the worldwide media campaign, trips to visit the Pope and the USA to highlight the issue of abducted children - absolutely nothing.
What do you EXPECT parents in their position to be able to do? If they leave their house or where they were staying in Praia de Luz, they are swamped with media.
Out of interest, can anyone tell me what is the correct behaviour for someone whose child has gone missing? People say that Kate and Gerry aren't acting like grieving parents - I want to know what they should be doing?!

You actually know nothing about what they have been doing
really.Of course they have to hire these people.What would you do if you were wrongly accused of something? And if it werent for people slagging them off and accusing them of being murderers they wouldnt need a PR firm.
I take it you dont mind if they breathe?

don't know what they have done to find Madeleine ,but i wish the fund would get their collective fingers out and do something positive to get the search back on track,its disgraceful the way the whole thing has been handled.....
