The Guy is using his color to make a statement because his stats are average. He makes so much money, and really he is a skilled player...so the remarks concerning unfair attention, actually beg for more unfair attention....I have a dream that people of color will release the anchor that holds them to an old Idea. If you look back It is assured that ALL of us were at one time or another captives of others. So this non ending negative idea that only blacks were harmed by slavery is a lie.And I for one am somehow so gratefull for the same freedoms that some find oppressive...

Your right he's looking for an excuse.
There 32 NFL teams and about 7 black QB. I think that a good number more blacks should apply themselves or try out to be QBs. McNabb has spent more time on sick leave than any other QB. So he needs to Shut-up and Play at being a QB. He a McChoker. McNabb is Andy's baby boy and will be until Andy is gone. I am a die-hard Eagles fan. I say it's NOT a black thing. ALL EAGLES Let him know that!

I think he is just passing the blame.
I am just wondering when will there be enough black quarterbacks so that people will stop griping. For Crying out loud, the NFL is what? 70% Black overall? 6 teams out of 32 have a black quarterback as their starter which means 18.75% of the teams have a black quarterback. If you look at the US census that is higher than the black population in our country. Where are the white Wide receivers? Why are there so few white defenders? No white running backs. Most of the white guys in the game are quarterbacks, offensive linemen, or kickers (which barely counts). I want to know when are they going to recruit more white guys into football?
How about basketball? Except for a few Europeans/Internationals who didn't grow up thinking that "white boys can't jump" How many white (American)players are there in the game? A handful. Where is the cry that we need to get more white youth into the game?
In baseball, tennis, golf, hockey they are saying they "have" to recruit more black players, but where is this same call and recognition of the extreme disparity between white and black percentages in football, basketball, track and field, etc.?
The fact is there is more scrutiny of white players trying to break stereotype than there is of any black player in any game. A black player has massive media support, a white guy trying to be the next Jordan (basketball), or great running back (football) would be considered a joke and everyone would tell him he couldn't do it until other players gunned for him to take out, he failed, or he just plain gave up.
There is a racial problem in sports today. Whites are told they can't do anything as well as blacks. There is far more scrutiny and criticism of the white athlete than the black.
I wrote this on another yahoo answer and it applies here as well.

I see it like this. Coaches like to win. In an effort to win they will (at all levels) put their best athlete at QB. If he happens to be a young African American player it matters not, as long as he wins. So the best athlete on the field is allowed to play QB. If he can't pass well; who cares (the coach thinks), he can run like the wind. This all begins in Pop Warner. So this young man progresses to the next level as a QB where he is again exploited for his athletic abilities. Who cares, the team is winning...
So now he reaches the highest level and looks to be a QB. The thing is he has never been molded into a great QB but he is instead a great athlete playing QB. Is this his fault; hell no. Suddenly the expectations are high and he has not been allowed to develop the skills necessary to succeed at the highest level because he has faced too much pressure to use his athletic ability to win.
I think I know what you he was saying but I certainly can't be sure. This is what I believe to be true.
I am a life long Eagles fan and one who appreciates all that he has accomplished. I think he has done a great job with the talent that has surrounded him. I also know that he you had a game breaking wide receiver (for more than 1 year), he would already have the ring he deserves!
Lets also not forget that he was criticized by that idiot from the Philadelphia NAACP for not being 'black' enough. What the heck was that supposed to achieve?!?!

I really don't agree with Mcnabb's comments. There really is no sign to me that that black QB's are yelled at or mistreated worse the than white ones. Weather or not this information is true or not I truly believe that all races should be treated equally in the NFL. No matter what the situation racism isn't the right way to go about solving problems.

Your assessment is defective through posistions. huge receivers are very infrequently, if ever scrutinzed, except they run their mouths.(like a TO or Randy Moss). I on no account keep in mind listening to followers say they needed the selection a million receiver benched, because of the fact he exchange into the only dropping the game. humorous factor is Rush Limbaugh exchange into fired for asserting Mcnabb exchange into given greater credit than he deserved because of the fact he exchange into black(decrease back whilst he exchange into triumphing). fact is Mcnabb is critized because of the fact he the beginning QB for a considerable marketplace team.(arguably between the main rabid fan bases). If his team is dropping, some white followers would be greater desirable annoying on him, merely because of the fact he's black, that's a fact. for my area, i think of black QBs ought to do rather much less. i think of because of the fact there's a loss of black QBs, maximum individuals tend to cheer for them a sprint greater because of the fact united states of america as an entire has a tendency to root for the underdog. the same could be suggested for white receivers. Michael Vick exchange right into a mediocre QB that alter into given all forms of interest. There are a number of white wideouts that i can think of of that benifit from the same over hype. So i assume what i'm asserting, is which you're kinda marvelous.

I think he is a cry baby and has always been pretty outspoken. There are other QBs that take a lot of crap. Others have already mentioned E. Manning and R. Grossman. Shoot, in Pittsburgh a few years back people trashed Tommy Maddox's yard! Peoople take their football seriously and they are gonna let you know if you stinking it up!

McNabb is a jerk, always was, always will be. Due to age and injuries, what skills he did have are eroding. Naturally it must be caused by racism, nothing is ever McNabbs' fault.

He's looking for an excuse. Blame it on George Bush. Have him go talk to Rex Grossman, I'm sure Rex would trade places with him.
