Ooops... I forgot socialism, nationalism, and capitalism! Thanks for pointing it out. However there were key differences between Italian fascism and Nazism.

I don't think one should underestimate the Nazis. Hitler was a tactical genius, at least at the outset before things started going wrong. Speer was a very capable technocrat. Goebbels was a propagandist genius. Etc.

Hello Jim,

Here are a few books you should read:

Inside the Third Reich, by Albert Speer
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, by William Shirer
Hitler and the Power of Aesthetics (by ...Potts I think)

Hitler's relationship with Christianity was complex. There probably needs to be a book written about it, if there isn't already. Suffice it to say that the facile argument ("Hitler was a Christian/No he wasn't") gets no-one anywere.

You got it all right but the Christian part. Hitler did not advocate Christianity. He openly denounced it and all other religions as superstition. He set up himself and the state as a Zionist religion. And don't forget about institutionalism. This was a big part of "re-education" and he promoted children being raised in government institutions instead of by their parents.

I can see where this is going.

Nazi were fascists

Rational thinking is not
Atheism is not
I am not sure where you get the occultism, but based on what you said, it is not
Classicism. You mean class warfare? No, that is again is wrong
Darwinism, I am not sure where you got that from, so no it is not.
Neo-paganism, Neitzecheaanism, no it is not
Racism, yes it is. Anything that was not pure was considered bad
What is the stuff about high-tch instramental rationaality? That makes zero sense.
Scientism, do you mean 100% belief in the bible and toss out rational thinking? (see above)
Christian anti-semitism and social conservatism, no it is not
Zionism, no it is not
New ageism, no it is not

Did you leave anything out?
Yes, common sense

Your explanations make no sense whatsoever unless you want to twist it into a pretzel.

I have a question for you, where did you get the information that makes you believe what you say is rational, clever, or even remotely accurate?

=============
I have read the books you listed -- I still don't understand where you get the rational for your question/answer

Peace

Jim

Industrialists/capitalists/Imperialist individuals kinda coaxed Hitler into the whole concept. That way the oil co, gas, poison gas, transportation, artillery giants were guaranteed a good stretch.
The social-Darwinism as far as survival of the fittest that is also in relation to Eugenics, which in a matter of over-population the elderly, sick, insane would be discounted as necessary.

You forgot to mention that Hitler was a psychopath and a grade 20 drug addict. He couldn't get out of bed without first receiving his shot of "vitamins". Also took another shot of "vitamins" in the mid-afternoon and again at night. He was so full of the good stuff that he couldn't write his own name. True story from his doctor who told all after the war.

Nope; You're on the wrong track.

By ascribing these philosophical tenants as attributes to the people you've listed, you are stipulating that they are thinkers.

None of those gangsters were capable of that kind of intellectual order.

In their case, all those ism's were simply contrivances for the purpose of eliminating or controlling large societal segments that they perceived as competition.

Their vision of the world was; If you are the only one left, you are superior. It's intellectually bankrupt.

You missed Fascism: the complete mixture of Government and Corporate interests. That was the main one, because it's what connected their government to Italy's. (Their biggest ally) Mousollini completely turned his government over to be ruled by Corporate CEOs, to the point where elected governers were replaced by the CEO of the regions largest company. In Germany fascism only got to the point where war plans were decided by CEOs of war item producing companies.

You left out the biggest and most important force behind the Nazi movement - Nationalism.

Hitler was able to get the Germans behind him because he appealed to their sense of devotion to their homeland.
