Because people are wearing two underwear(s)??
VPL (visible panty lines) are a Fashion DISASTER.
One must go home and hide from the SHAME. :-))

I used to enjoy checking out women's butts and the panty line didn't matter to me at all. It just meant that they were wearing panties. Duh! Then one day I got this memo that WOMEN think that panty lines look tacky. Okay ... so, they shove their panties up their butts to avoid the lines. Is this odd?
BOY SHORTS are better for avoiding panty lines than thongs. Did you know that you can see the little "V" at the top of the butt? I'm serious! If the skirt, dress, or slacks are tight enough, I can SEE the top of the thong. It's no different that a regular panty. But a good boyshort is both sexy AND hides the panty lines much better.

We had a telephone panty line when I was growing up. Our cranky old neighbor Mrs. Nelson was also talking on it. From eavesdropping, I got the impression, that her panties were always in a bunch.

I really don't care one way of the other. A visible thong hiked up above someone's britches is disgusting, though.
My seven year old has panties with the statue of liberty on them. As long as I can keep her from wearing them with her thin white pants, I'm satisfied that I have done my part for modesty.
We seem to have an awful lot of "weird" underwear around here.
Men. . . .hmmm...let me think about that. . . .let me think about that for a looong time. ;-)

i do no longer think of that they are skanky..each each now and then with specific bottoms seamless panties will instruct a line which will make the full outfit seem trashy and the only way around the trashy seem is a thong..yet each each now and then women positioned on thongs for various reasons even although they seem and sound uncomfortable.

"Panty lines" on women - Depnds on the situation "granny panties" ain't cuttin' it. Other situations it could leave a little to the imagination that's cool.

Tacky, as a rule...as are visible (colored) panties under white slacks or a polyester dress
