My opinion is that your little human analogy is false.

Your thoughts can be predicted by one: You. That is what they have developed for, afterall. As such you alone are in a position to express the content of those thoughts.... whatever that may be.

For what it is worth though, most process taking place in the brain are transmitted via ion-transfer... which effectively is the conduction of a very minor electrical charge. Whenever an electrical charge passes along a system, it distorts the magnetic field around it... which can have far-reaching effects.

That is to say.... assuming you had a system attuned to detect a narrow bandwidth of VERY fine changes in the magnetic field around a person's head (it would need to be ridiculously sensitive)... and it was callibrated correctly to match particular changes to particular signals....
.... you could, in effect.... read someone's thoughts.

Hehehe. The Badger has a point. But first we'd have to figure out how all that information is encoded. 'Thinking' about a chair also summons up a lot of other thoughts; What kind of chair, the concept of setting, maybe relaxing or maybe hammering on a keyboard or having dinner. And all of those concepts are bouncing around (along with the inter-relationships between them) and it might get a bit deep trying to sort them all out.

There's also been a fair bit of work done on how 'micro-tubules' (small structures in neurons) might possibly be able to interact with quantum-level fields and couple information to / from that field.

It's all interesting stuff.

Living life is the expression of and for its thought; The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

Arising thoughts is involuntary. Like everything else thoughts come and go just like clouds passing over your head, Just sit and watch them. When you wait for the next thought it hardly arises.
