Normally your malware programs will delete these gremlins.

Some toolbar add-ons can be removed from Internet Explorer by opening IE > Tools > Internet Options – open the Programs Tab – at the bottom right click on the button ‘Manage add-ons’. Highlight the offending add-on and either delete or disable and click OK.

However, you should be aware that a lot of viruses, spyware & adware sit in RAM, the registry and System Restore and because of System Restore will return even after deleting or re-booting. Removing can be a little time consuming but thankfully not impossible. Yes there are many web sites offering solutions for the removal of different gremlins but try this first.

Turn off System Restore. This can be achieved by going to ‘Start’ > ‘My Computer’ > ‘Properties’ > Open the ‘System Restore’ tab then enable “Turn off system restore on all drives” > click apply > click ok.

It is now best to re-boot your computer in Safe Mode – (achieved by pressing F8 continually during boot up) this will prevent the majority of malware from kicking off at this time.

You should now run your anti virus and anti spyware and anti adware software and delete or quarantine any viruses or spies found.

Re-boot your computer in normal mode and complete another virus check. If your system is now reported as being clean - don’t forget to turn on System Restore.

Some typical examples of free downloads for keeping your system clean are:

DriveCleaner use browser security holes and installed without your consent while you surfing web (most often adult or games websites).Often DriveClenaner comes with other malware. Once installed, this application will load on every Windows startup and displays false information about security and privacy problems on your computer. Also DriveCleaner frequently launches pop-ups that look like system errors.

you can try to delete it by going to
Start -
search -
typing in the name of the program

and try to delete the file this way... im not entirely sure if it removes it 100% so in that case go back to your add/remove programmes and see if it has been removed.

run the usual anti virus/spyware/adware removal, clean out your temp folders and hopefully something will come up in one of those that allows you to remove it
